Real-Time Firearm Tracking & Location
GATT, which stands for Gun Activity Tracking Technology, is conceptually similar to a LoJack® on your car, but for your firearm. However, GATT will integrate police notice for action, not just recovery, and the Company believes its solution is more critical and will have a greater social demand. GATT is our name for the line of products being developed around the Company’s proprietary and patented (US Patent No. 8,683,727, the “Patent”) GPS locator/transmitter replacement part (the “GATT Core”), which we intend to develop and manufacture for millions of private and government owned revolvers, semi-automatic handguns, automatic and semi-automatic rifles, and pump and semi-automatic shotguns (collectively, “GATT Guns”).
With the GATT Core, GATT Gun owners will be able to turn the GPS locator/transmitter in the GATT Core off and on via edge devices such as smartphones, tablets, or laptops with a four digit PIN in much the same manner as home security alarms. Along with the GATT Core, the Company intends to offer GPS locator/transmitter services and related police alert services (the “GPS Services”). If a GATT Gun is removed from its holster or other storage location and the owner’s PIN authorization is not entered, a wireless GPS or mobile network alarm will be transmitted, enabling local law enforcement to be notified of unauthorized movement of a gun and to quickly locate and recover the gun.
We believe GATT Guns will provide an Internet of Things (IoT) second safety and a security for an individual’s firearm that has been missing to date. If a GATT Gun is stolen and the thief tries to disable the GATT Gun’s ability to be tracked by removing the GATT Core, the firearm will be rendered effectively useless. Once the GATT Core is removed, the firearm will be incapable of firing, unless a round had already been loaded in the chamber. Even then, it can only fire one shot by preventing the firearm from chambering another round, unless the thief has a spare recoil rod and spring handy. If the person who takes the GATT Gun does not remove the GATT Core from the firearm, then local law enforcement can quickly find the stolen firearm and return it to the owner.
